About The Event

The board of HRI welcomes you to join us for a free gathering to learn more about our work, including our upcoming programming for survivors of human trafficking in Monterey County, CA. We will be joined by special guest and elder from the Monterey local Esselen tribe, Cari Herthel, and will bear witness to her survival story. In addition, attendees will be invited to participate in one of the activities that are part of the healing and reconciliation workshops in order to further explore our curriculum. Maija West, co-founder of HRI, and Cari Herthel will be presenting. They will be joined by fellow board members, Briana Bellamy and Mary Stroupe, as well as advisor, Christine Dawson.
